Idols are often invited to various fashion shows or photo shoots, because they are canonically beautiful, namely, they meet the aesthetic standards of our time. In the photos below, you will see examples of such collaboration. You can order essay and read about the combination of the aesthetic component with canons of our time.
Back in April, the multi-label luxury store On Pedder had a collaboration with 2NE1′s leader CL. They made her the face of their latest campaign and had her star in a trippy fashion film filled with chunky accessories. I actually really liked the styling for the film. It was a perfect example of quirky artsy that doesn’t border on hideous. It had patterns that captured your attention but didn’t make you recoil. Also, who doesn’t want a silver unicorn horn on their sunglasses? I know I do! Below are some of the more memorable pieces.
KENZO Printed Dress ($702.61) & Monogram Pattern Clutch (Only Sold In Hong Kong)
I Am The Limited Edition REVÉ BY RENÉ Sunglasses ($490.00)
KENZO Printed Cotton-Canvas Jacket ($1,175.00)
Feverish Gold Elephant Head Earrings (Only Sold In Stores or Contact Brand For Price)
Nicholas Kirkwood Ruffle Trim Pump ($1,050.00)
This was the fashion film, directed by Junu Ahn and Laurent Segretier. Am I the only one that thinks that this looks like a legit music video for this song?
