BoA’s “Masayume Chasing” Has Immense Potential
BoA has released the PV for her 37th Japanese single Masayume Chasing, which will be digitally available for purchase on July 23rd. The PV is sadly immensely boring, despite the very cheery and colorful atmosphere created by BoA and the dancers. The sets are just so conventional and there’s literally not even a semblance of a plot. Not to mention that the wrong wardrobe was chosen—the floral prints from the MSGM Resort and and S/S 2014 collections don’t look good on screen. But this song is PERFECTION! I love it so much! The song was chosen to promote her upcoming Japanese tour (the first in more than 4 years) and will be included in her eighth studio album. Someone give me a hallelujah! When I heard the song, I thought, if SM entertainment doesn’t let BoA properly promote this song and finally puts some money into her Japanese activities, the over-paid executives are official deaf. But we’re off to a good start, since the song has been chosen as the fifteenth opening theme for the anime Fairy Tale. Yes! That anime is so popular, please let there be an Inuyasha effect. The PV is below:
I prefer the anime opening PV. It fits the song a lot more:
Also, I saw this rock version cover of the song and now I want her to make one. Pretty please BoA, that would be so cool.
